SoftBank exits Paytm with a $150-M loss: report

SoftBank Corp has exited from publicly-listed Paytm in June 2024 with a loss of 10-12 per cent (USD 150 million)..

In Aug 2017, Paytm had raised USD 1.4 Billion from SoftBank Corp. Later in Nov 2019, SoftBank Corp., along with Alibaba, T Rowe Price and others further invested USD 1 Billion. The company went public in Nov-21, as part of which SoftBank had made a part exit. The investor has been selling more part stakes since then
