SoftBank offloads 2% more stake In Paytm: report

SoftBank has sold an additional 2% stake in One97 Communications, the parent company of Paytm, through open market operations. SVF India Holdings (Cayman) Ltd, a SoftBank entity, sold 12,706,807 equity shares in One97 Communications between December 19, 2023, and January 20, 2024. The transaction brings the Japanese investor's stake in the company down to about 5%.SoftBank, which held nearly 7% last year, progressively reduced its stake by 0.55 % in December and 1.4% in January, coinciding with a 20% surge in Paytm's share value over the last month.
