SoftBank offloads 5.65 Cr shares of eyewear retailer Lenskart worth Rs.2,873-Cr

SoftBank, through its entity SoftBank Vision Fund (SVF) II Lightbulb (Cayman), has sold 5.65 crore shares of omnichannel eyewear retailer Lenskart , representing a 3.25% stake in the company. The transaction was executed through a block deal at a price of INR 508.55 per share. SoftBank’s holding stood at 22.79 crore shares as of the end of March.Lenskart, founded in 2010, attained unicorn status in 2019 following a funding round led by SoftBank. The company notched up an operating revenue of INR 2,515.7 crore for the fourth quarter of FY26.

SoftBank Corp invested $278 M in Lenskart as part of its Series G round in Dec 2019. Other current investors in the company include Chiratae Ventures, Unilazer Ventures, TPG Growth, TR Capital, Ratan Tata, IFC, Pratithi Investments, Schroder Adveq, PremjiInvest, Epiq Capital, Steadview Capital, Kedaara Capital, Alpha Wave Global, Bay Capital Investments, KKR, Temasek, Avendus, Axis PE, ADIA, ChrysCapital, Fidelity India and others.For FY25, Lenskart had reported about INR 4,039 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 188 Cr in PAT.
