SoftBank sells 1.1% stake in food delivery unicorn Zomato for Rs.1,040-Cr

SoftBank has sold a 1.1% stake of publicly listed food delivery company Zomato Ltd for INR 1,040 crore. Post the sale, SoftBank holds a similar 1.1% stake in the company. In Aug-23, SoftBank had sold a 1.16% stake in Zomato for INR 947 crore via open-market transactions. (SoftBank had obtained a stake in Zomato in June 2022, when the company had acquired fellow Gurgaon-based instant grocery startup Blinkit, formerly known as Grofers).
