Sorin Investments to raise Rs.2,000-Cr for second fund
Bengaluru-based Sorin Investments is preparing to raise about INR 2,000 crore for its second fund. The firm intends to begin preparations for this fundraising round during the first quarter of the 2027 calendar year.Founded by Sanjay Nayar (former KKR India Head), the firm focuses on backing early-stage startups. It is led by a team including general partner Angad Banga and partners Subeer Monga and Mandar Dandekar. While maintaining a sector-agnostic approach, the company may evaluate opportunities in deep-tech, space-tech, and artificial intelligence for its upcoming fund.The firm's maiden fund was sized at INR 1,350 crore and is currently partially deployed, with about 60% of the capital invested across 12 companies.
