Space-tech firm Aule raises $2-M from pi Ventures, others

Bengaluru-based spacetech startup Aule Space has raised USD 2 million (about INR 18 crore) in a pre-seed funding round led by venture capital firm pi Ventures, with participation from angel investors including Tonbo Imaging CEO Arvind Lakshmikumar and Intelsat’s former board member Eash Sundaram.Founded in 2024 by Jay Panchal, Nithyaa Giri, and Hrishit Tambi, Aule Space develops autonomous satellites that can dock with and service other satellites already in orbit. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its engineering team, establish ground-based docking and testing infrastructure, and develop its first demonstration satellite, slated for launch next year.Aule Space had earlier received INR 80 lakh from IN-SPACe and intends to raise a USD 5 million funding round for future missions.
