Space-tech startup Digantara raises $50-M from 360 ONE, others
Bengaluru-based Digantara has raised USD 50 million in a Series B funding round from SBI Investments Co Japan, 360 ONE Asset, and entrepreneur Ronnie Screwvala. Existing investors Peak XV Partners and Kalaari Capital also participated in the funding.Founded in 2020 by Anirudh Sharma, Rahul Rawat, and Tanveer Ahmed, Digantara develops hardware, software, and AI-based tools for tracking objects and debris in space.The startup plans to use the capital for global expansion, establish new manufacturing facilities for optical systems and satellite production, and double its research and development teams globally over the coming year. It also intends to launch 15 space surveillance satellites over 2026-27 and develop two dedicated missile-warning satellites for defence and national security applications.
Between Jul 2021 and Feb 2024, Digantara had attracted about USD 15 M from Aditya Birla Ventures, SIDBI VC, Campus Fund, Global Brain, Kalaari Capital, Peak XV Partners and others.
