Spacetech co. Agnikul Cosmos raises $17-M

Chennai-based spacetech startup Agnikul Cosmos has raised USD 17 million (around INR 150 crore) in a round that saw participation from family offices and other institutional investors. The startup is now valued at USD 500 million.Institutional investors who participated in the funding round include Advenza Global, Atharva Green Ecotech LLP, HDFC Bank, Artha Select Fund, Prathithi Ventures, and 100X.VC.Agnikul designs and manufactures orbital-class launch vehicles powered by 3D-printed engines. It will use the funds to scale production of aerospace and rocket components, and advance its stage-recovery programme. A part of the funds will be used for the development of its upcoming space campus on the 350 acres allocated by the Tamil Nadu government to build facilities for manufacturing and testing of launch vehicles.Agnikul, which has customers also in the Middle East and Australia, will also use the funds to strengthen its reusable launch architecture.

Between Feb 2019 and Nov 2025, AgniKul Cosmos had attracted about USD 46 M from Artha India Ventures, Celesta Capital, Dholakia Ventures, Java Capital, Mayfield, Pi Ventures, rocketship.vc, SiriusOne Capital, Speciale Invest and others.
