Spacetech startup Astrogate Labs raises $1.3 M led by Piper Serica
Bengaluru-based spacetech startup Astrogate Labs has raised USD 1.3 million in a pre-series funding round led by Piper Serica Angel Fund. The fresh proceeds will be used to accelerate the development of its laser communication terminals for space and additional use cases in terrestrial and airborne applications, scale operations, and strengthen partnerships with space agencies and defense organizations.Founded in 2017 by Nitish Singh, and Aditya Kedlaya, Astrogate Labs offers technology to improve data downlink for small satellite constellations, helping them transmit data more efficiently to the ground.
Between June 2019 and Nov 2020, Astrogate Labs had raised funding from Speciale Invest, and angel investors.For FY24, Astrogate Labs had reported about INR 0.76 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 1.17 Cr in Net Loss.
