Spacetech startup Astrophel Aerospace raises Rs.6.84 Cr

Pune-based deep-tech startup Astrophel Aerospace has raised INR 6.84 crore (USD 800,000) in a Pre-Seed round led by a consortium of individuals and angels.The fresh funding will be used by the company to develop a reusable semi-cryogenic launch vehicle and enhance its in-house R&D to develop missile-grade guidance systems and components.Founded in 2021 by Suyash Bafna, Astrophel Aerospace aims to launch vehicles for small satellites, powered by semi-cryogenic propulsion systems. The company's flagship product Astra C1 is a modular three stage launch vehicle being designed and manufactured in India.
