Spoken English app Supernova to raise $20-M from Vertex Ventures, Verlinvest
Bengaluru-based Supernova plans to raise USD 15 million to USD 20 million from Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia and India and Verlinvest. The company, which has an annual recurring revenue of approximately USD 15 million, counts Lumikai, All In Capital and Kae Capital among its existing investors.Founded in 2021 by Maharishi R.B., Anirudh Coontoor and Nawin Krishna, Supernova provides an app that offers spoken English lessons through a virtual tutor named Nova. The app supports English language learning with feedback on grammar and pronunciation and allows users to interact with the AI tutor in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Marathi.
Between Jul 2022 and Mar 2024, SupernovaSchool had attracted about USD 4.63 M from AdvantEdge Partners, All In Capital, Goodwater Capital, Kae Capital, Lumikai, DeVC India and others.
