Sports-tech co. Str8bat raises $3.5 M led by Exfinity
Bengaluru-based sports technology startup Str8bat has raised USD 3.5 million (about INR 29.3 crore) in a Series A funding round led by Exfinity Venture Partners. The round also saw participation from TRTL Ventures, Eternal Capital and the VCats group (including Venture Catalyst and VCgrid), besides existing investors such as Techstars and SucSEED Indovation Fund.The firm plans to use the new funds to accelerate product development, introduce new product lines and expand both its marketing efforts and geographic footprint.Founded in 2018 by Gagan Daga, Rahul Nagar and Madhusudan R, Str8bat has developed a platform providing real-time data analytics for athletes. Its core product is a sensor that attaches to the back of a cricket bat, offering real-time insights to help players improve their game.
In Jan 2023, Str8bat had raised funding from SucSEED Indovation Fund, Dholakia Ventures, and other angel investors.
