Srei arm receives Rs.4,200-Cr investments proposals from Arena, Makara Capital

Srei Equipment Finance Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kolkata-based, publicly-listed Srei Infrastructure Finance Ltd, has received an investment interest of INR 2,000 crore from a consortium led by US-based Arena Investors LP. It has also received an INR 2,200 crore investment proposal from Singapore-based Makara Capital Partners Pte Ltd. EY has been roped in to advise the company on the proposed fundraising exercise, which is being carried out in parallel to its debt realignment plan.
