Student housing startup Your-Space raises Rs.70-Cr

New Delhi-based student housing startup Your-Space has raised INR 70 crore (USD 8.2 million) debt led by Shantanu Rastogi (MD of General Atlantic). The round also saw participation from existing investors, Castle Investments and Ajax Capital and new investor Ashish Kacholia.Shantanu Rastogi invested INR 25 crore and Ashish Kacholia invested INR 10 crore. INR 7.5 crore came from Satyadharma Investments and Castle Investments and Ajay Gupta’s family office, Ajax Capital, and Holy Basil Consultancy invested INR 5 crore each. The company will issue 10,14,493 compulsory convertible debentures (CCDs) at INR 690 each to raise the sum.The fresh funds will be used by the company for working capital requirements, creditor payments and general payments.Founded in 2016 Your-space offers affordable PGs, hostels, and co-living spaces for students.

In Jan-22, Your-Space had attracted about USD 10 M from Ajax Capital, NB Ventures, others.For FY24, Your Space had reported about INR 142.7 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 30.69Cr in Net loss.
