Sugar Cosmetics raises Rs.41-Cr led by Anicut Capital

Mumbai-based D2C (direct-to-consumer) brand Sugar Cosmetics has raised INR 40.99 crore (USD 5 million) in a mix of debt and equity round led by Anicut Capital (contributing INR 24.99 crore), with participation from Stride Ventures (contributing INR 15 crore in the form of debt) and L Catterton (contributing INR 1 crore).Founded in 2015 by husband-wife duo of Vineeta Singh and Kaushik Mukherjee, Sugar Cosmetics claims to have a presence in over 45,000 retail stores across India.

Between Jul 2013 and Nov 2024, Sugar Cosmetics had raised about USD 93 M from A91 Partners, Elevation Capital, India Quotient, L Capital Asia, Malabar Investments, RB Investments, Stride Ventures and Anicut Capital.For FY24, Sugar Cosmetics had reported about INR 505 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 68 Cr in Net loss.
