Supermarket chain More raises addl Rs.145-Cr from Amazon, Samara Capital
Amazon and Samara Capital are investing an additional INR 145 crore in Mumbai-headquartered grocery retail chain More Retail .More runs a chain of hyper and supermarkets across India with 777 stores. The fresh equity infusion will be used to meet the increased working capital requirement, to improve stock availability across stores and to offer 10,000-plus stock keeping units as the retailer enters new markets and acts as the fulfilment point of Amazon's grocery business under fresh and quick commerce.
Between Sep 2018 and Oct 2023, More had raised over USD 377.13 M from Samara Capital and Amazon.
