Surveillance-focused AI-platform Skylark Labs in talks to raise $150-M at $1-B valuation
California-headquartered Skylark Labs is in talks to raise between $100-150-M in a new funding round. The potential transaction includes participation from Bommie Capital, Riceberg, Symphony Ventures, and Cushman & Wakefield. The firm is targeting a valuation exceeding USD 1-B.Founded in 2021 by Dr. Amarjot Singh, the company develops self-learning AI for edge devices deployed on robots, drones, and autonomous vehicles for defence, public safety, and border security applications.The company currently serves various government and commercial customers, including the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force, Border Security Force, US Air Force and US Navy. The firm plans to use the new capital to expand its workforce, strengthen its global footprint, and accelerate the development of autonomous defence technologies.Following the funding, the company intends to increase its headcount by 100 and expand its physical presence with new offices in Pune, Navi Mumbai, Delhi, and Abu Dhabi.
