Svatantra Microfin to raise Rs.1,930-Cr from Advent, Multiples
Private Equity firms Advent International and Multiples will invest INR 1,930 crore in Ananya Birla-promoted, Mumbai-headquartered Svatantra Microfin .The investment follows Svatantra’s recent acquisition of Bengaluru-based Chaitanya India Fin Credit Ltd for INR 1,479 crore.Svatantra, launched in 2013, provides financial and non-financial solutions to women entrepreneurs. As of January 2024, the firm has more than 965 branches across 19 states, catering to over 23 lakh active customers.It reported a total income of INR 1,396 crore and profit after tax of INR 130 crore in FY23. In FY22 its total income was INR 831 crore and profit INR 47 crore.
