Chennai-based renewable energy solutions firm Swelect Energy Systems is to invest USD 0.5 million in Comstock BESS through a Singapore-based wholly owned subsidiary in the form of Class B Preferred Equity.Comstock BESS LLC is a Michigan, US-based special-purpose company focused on developing and owning battery energy storage system (BESS) projects for grid-scale energy-storage applications. It supports the deployment of energy storage infrastructure to enhance grid reliability and facilitate the integration of renewable energy resources.This investment marks the entry of Swelect Energy Systems into the US grid-scale battery storage market.
