TA Associates raises 14th fund with $12.5-B of commitments
US-headquartered global PE investor TA Associates has completed its fundraising for TA XIV with total commitments at the hard cap of USD 12.5 billion. In addition, TA announced the closing of TA Select Opportunities Fund II (TA Select Opps II), also launched in January 2021, with total commitments at its hard cap of USD 1.5 billion. TA XIV will continue TA's long-term investment strategy of investing in companies with high-quality business models capable of delivering sustainable growth within the technology, healthcare, financial services, consumer and business services sectors. Investments are expected to range in size from USD 100 to USD 600 million. TA Select Opps II will make investments in independent, third-party priced recapitalizations of high-performing TA portfolio companies that the firm believes offer significant prospects for continued organic and inorganic growth.
