Teacher-accreditation platform CENTA raises Rs.20-Cr led by Colossa Ventures

Bengaluru-based Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) has raised INR 20 crore in Series A1 round led by Colossa Ventures with participation from existing investor Discovery Assets and angel investors.The funds will be used to scale operations in India and international markets while further enhancing its technology infrastructure.Founded in 2014 by Ramya Venkataraman, CENTA is a full stack platform for teachers, focused on teacher certification, teacher upskilling and teacher-as-a-service. The platform claims to have onboarded 1.7 million teachers from 100,000+ schools.

Between Jul 2017 and Nov 2023, CENTA had attracted about USD 2 M from Narotam Sekhsaria Family Office, Omidyar Network,3i Partners.
