Tech-services consulting firm Synechron in talks with PE firms for stake sale: report
New York- and Pune-based Synechron has initiated talks with global private equity investors, including EQT, CVC, and Apax Partners, for a potential stake sale. The proposed transaction may involve the sale of a minority or a significant majority stake. The company is also evaluating a share-swap structure.Founded in 2001 by Faisal Husain, the firm is a global technology consulting business that operates 59 offices across 21 countries with 16,000 employees, providing digital transformation services, including artificial intelligence, data, cloud, cybersecurity, software engineering, and DevOps to more than 200 financial-services clients.Synechron has reached over USD 1 Billion in annual revenue and is seeking a valuation of USD 3-3.5 Billion or more. It has over 10,800 employees in India out of a global strength of 16,000+ professionals.
For FY25, Synechron had reported about INR 3,233 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 247 Cr in PAT.
