Temasek arm sells 2.4% stake in insurtech co. Policybazaar for Rs.1,740-Cr: report
Singapore-based MacRitchie Investments, an investment holding company linked to Temasek, has sold more than 2% in publicly listed PB Fintech through a block deal. The transaction involved 2.37% of the company's equity capital and was valued at INR 1,740 crore. The share sale was executed at a floor price of INR 1,601 per share.Founded in 2008, PB Fintech operates digital platforms Policybazaar and Paisabazaar, online insurance and lending marketplaces.
Temasek first invested in PB Fintech in June 2015 via a secondary transaction. The company went public in Nov-2021. In Apr 2022, Temasek-backed Makesense Technologies amalgamated with PB Fintech via NCLT approval.For FY26, PB Fintech had reported about INR 208.37 Crore in Operating Income and about INR 41.44 Crore in PAT.
