Temasek files with CCI to acquire 10% stake in Haldiram Snacks
Singapore’s state-owned investment firm Temasek, via its subsidiary Jongsong Investments Pte Ltd, has sought the approval of Competition Commission of India (CCI) for the acquisition of about 10% stake in Nagpur-headquartered Haldiram Snacks Food Pvt Ltd. This move comes close on the heels of recent media reports quoting the deal value at about INR 8,000 crore, thereby valuing Haldiram Snacks at INR 80,000 crore.Haldiram Snacks, incorporated in December 2022, product line includes snacks, sweets, ready-to-eat items, dairy products, bakery items, chocolates, and non-carbonated beverages.
