ThinkMetal raises $800-K pre-Series A funding led by YourNest
Chennai-based deeptech startup Thinkmetal has raised USD 800,000 (INR 6.7 crore) in a pre-Series A funding round led by YourNest (under the YourNest-SanchiConnect Velocity Program 2024) with participation from investors including BSE-listed Concept Communications Ltd and Sanchi Connect.The proceeds will be used to finalise production readiness and launch its first-generation product, SistemT1 and to expand its range of materials including Pure Copper, Tool Steels and Ceramics. The company also aims to enhance its software capabilities, refine processes, and strengthen its team across sales, operations, design, and software development.Founded in March 2021 by Sabyasachi Ghosh and Arushi Sharma, ThinkMetal offers SistemT1, a compact 3D printer that produces metal parts 10 times faster and at half the cost.
In Sep 2023, Thinkmetal had raised funding led by 100X.VC with participation from SAT Industries, KRS Jamwal and Uday Sodhi.
