TPG Capital exits Shriram Finance by selling shares worth Rs.1,390-Cr; registers 1.83x return
TPG Capital has sold its residual 2.65% stake in publicly-listed Shriram Finance Ltd realizing INR 1,389.56 crore and fully exiting its over 13-year-old investment with a 1.83x return on its investment.
From the Venture Intelligence PE-VC Deal Database: In Apr 2010, TPG Capital invested INR 761.20 Cr for a 15% stake in Shriram Capital Ltd. In Nov 2022, Shriram Finance was created out of the merger of Shriram Transport Finance, Shriram City Union Finance and ex-holding firm Shriram Capital.
