Travel portal EaseMyTrip increases its stake in Eco Hotels and Resorts
New Delhi-headquartered publicly listed online travel aggregator (OTA) EaseMyTrip has acquired 7.77% additional stake in Mumbai-based Eco Hotels and Resorts Limited by subscribing 10 lakh equity shares at INR 15.20 a piece, aggregating to INR 1.5 crore through a rights issue. Post the acquisition, EaseMytrip's holdings in the company increased to 20.77%.In December 2023, EaseMyTrip acquired a 13% stake in Eco Hotels and Resorts Ltd in a share swap deal to enter the hotel and hospitality industry.Incorporated in 1987, Eco Hotels operates in the hospitality sector with a focus on eco-friendly and green hotels.
