Travel-tech co. TripFactory raises $50-M
Bengaluru- and Singapore-based travel tech company TripFactory has raised USD 50 million in a Series A round led by an Indian corporate group. Post the funding round, the company will be valued at USD 500 million. New investors in this round include Vani Kola (Founder of Kalaari Capital, Mohandas Pai and Ranjan Pai (Co-founders of Aarin Capital).Founded by Vinay Gupta and Amit Aggarwal (who had earlier co-founded B2B travel services company Via.com - which was acquired by Ebix), TripFactory is focused on providing customised vacation plans for consumers. The company currently operates through its channel partners in 110 countries, offering packages across 32,000 destinations.
In July-15, TripFactory had attracted about USD 10 M from Aarin Capital.
