Truenorth sells Home First Finance Company India shares worth INR 334.23 Cr
PE firm True North, via True North Fund V LLP, sold its stake in Mumbai-based Home First Finance Company India worth INR 334.23 crore through bulk deal. The sale involved True North Fund V LLP selling over 28 lakh shares, at a price of INR 1,190 per share.Founded in 2010 by Jaithirth Rao, P S Jayakumar and Manoj Viswanathan, Home First Finance Company India operates as a smallcap NBFC specializing in home loans. It claims to offer fast, 48-hour sanctions for home purchases, construction, and loans against property.
TrueNorth acquired a majority stake in Home First Finance Company in Mar 2017 for USD 100 M. It continued to invest until 2019, infusing around 21 M in Sep 2018 and around 24 M in Jun 2019.For FY25, Home First Finance Company had reported about INR 1,530 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 382 Cr in PAT.
