Ugro Capital acquires Profectus Capital for Rs.1,400-Cr
Ugro Capital Ltd, a DataTech NBFC (non-banking financial company) focused on lending to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) has acquired Mumbai-based Profectus Capital Pvt Ltd , for INR 1,400 crore in an all cash deal from British private equity firm Actis.This acquisition would add approximately INR 150 crore of annualized profit to UGRO making it a capital adequacy accretive transaction.Profectus, which also focused on lending to MSMEs, has assets under management of INR 3,468 crore as of March 2025, with presence across seven states through a 28-branch network managed by an over 800-member team.
