Unacademy acquires online tuition platform Swiflearn
Bengaluru-based edtech unicorn Unacademy has acquired Gurugram-based Swiflearn, a platform providing live online tuitions for CBSE and ICSE students of grades 1 to 10. Founded in 2019 by Abhinav Agarwal and Anand Bakode, Swiflearn offers online courses in English, Maths, and Science, and in other areas such as mental ability and life skills, providing a personalised home tuition experience. It currently has over 1,500 teachers, and claims to host over 30,000 classes every month catering to over 1,20,000 registered learners.
Between Dec-19 and May-21, Swiflearn raised about $4-M from Alteria Capital, LogX Ventures, Stellaris Venture Partners, VH Capital, and others. (Subscribers to the database can login to view the valuation, deal structuring and other transaction details.)
