UptimeAI gets funding from Swiss co. ABB Motion
Bengaluru- and San Francisco-based artificial intelligence (AI) startup UptimeAI has raised an investment from the venture arm of Switzerland-based ABB Motion in return for a minority stake.Prior to this investment, the startup had raised over USD 19 million from investors like YourNest Venture Capital, Sharad Sanghi, AI Sprouts and Venture Catalysts.Founded in 2019 by Jagadish Gattu and Vamsi Yalamanchili, UptimeAI uses artificial intelligence (AI) to help plant engineers improve operational efficiency. The firm aims to reduce unexpected machine downtime and improve equipment performance.
Between Feb 2021 and Jul 2024, UptimeAI had raised about USD 19 M from Aditya Birla Ventures, Emergent Investment Group, WestBridge and Others.
