US-based digital media co. Minute Media acquires SaaS startup VideoVerse
Mumbai-based SaaS startup VideoVerse has been acquired by US-based digital media publisher Minute Media via a cash and stock transaction. The deal marks a complete exit for VideoVerse’s investors, including Flipkart co-founder Binny Bansal, A91 Partners, and Bluestone Equity Partners. Audacity Venture Capital will exit with USD 50 million gains. Angel investors saw 10-20X returns, while institutional backers clocked a 60-70% IRR from the deal.Founded in 2016 by Vinayak Shrivastav, Saket Dandotia, and Alok Patil, VideoVerse offers a video editing platform called Magnifi to enable advanced editing and content publishing.
Between Oct 2018 and Dec 2023, VideoVerse had raised about USD 105 M from Bluestone Equity Partners, A91 Partners, Alpha Wave Global, InnoVen Capital, Stride Ventures, Anthill Ventures, Artesian Venture Partners, Baring India, Cathexis Ventures, Moneta Ventures, Ventureast, Binny Bansal, Aman Tekriwal, IP Ventures and others.
