VC investors in Mamaearth sell shares worth Rs.1,602-Cr
Venture Capital investors in Honasa Consumer Ltd (parent company of D2C personal care brand Mamaearth) sold shares worth INR 1,602 crore on Sep 12, 2024 through bulk deals on the NSE.Fireside Ventures, via Fireside Ventures Investment Fund I, has sold shares worth INR 326.06 crore. The fund sold 6,583,018 equity shares (2.03% stake) at INR 495.30 per share.Stellaris Venture Partners, via Stellaris Venture Partners India I, has sold shares worth INR 224.75 crore. It sold 4,530,094 equity shares (1.40% stake) at INR 496.12 per share.Peak XV Partners (Peak XV Partners Investments VI) sold shares worth INR 610.99 crore. The fund has sold 12,341,188 equity shares (3.81% stake) at INR 495.08 per share. Peak XV also sold shares worth INR 142.13 crore via one of its other units, Sequoia Capital Global Growth Fund III - U.S./India Annex Fund, L.P. This unit sold 2,871,207 equity shares (0.89% stake) at INR 495.01 per share.Sofina Ventures S.A. has sold shares worth INR 297.79 crore. The investor sold 6,015,607 equity shares (1.86% stake) at INR 495.03 per share.
Mamaearth went public in Oct 2023 as part of which Fireside Ventures, Sharrp Ventures, Sofina, Stellaris Venture Partners had sold part of their holdings. Subsequently, Fireside sold shares in Dec 23 and again in Jun 24. Stellaris sold shares in Jan-24, while Sofina sold some additional shares in Jun-24. Between Nov-16 and Dec-21, Mamaearth had attracted over USD 112 M from these investors as well as Peak XV Partners
