Vegan beauty brand Plum appoints Rothschild for $100-M fundraising
Bengaluru-based Pureplay Skin Sciences, the parent company of the beauty and personal care brand Plum , has appointed Rothschild & Co to manage a fundraising round of $75-M to $100-M. The company has initiated talks with both new and existing investors.Founded in 2013 by Shankar Prasad, Plum sells products across skincare, haircare, body care, and makeup. It operates as an omnichannel business, selling through its own website, e-commerce marketplaces, quick-commerce platforms, and a network of 35 exclusive brand outlets. The company plans to use the new funds to strengthen its offline presence and launch new products.The company has previously raised over $50-M in institutional funding, with its last round in March 2022.
Between Nov 2018 and Mar 2022, Plum had attracted about USD 51 M from A91 Partners, Faering Capital, Unilever Ventures and Trifecta Capital.For FY25, Plum had reported about INR 402 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 25 Cr in PAT.
