Voice-first AI interface builder Maya Research raises $1.9 M led by South Park Commons
Bengaluru-based Maya Research has raised USD 1.9 million in a seed funding round led by South Park Commons.Founded in 2025 by BS Dheemanth Reddy and Bharath Kumar Kakumani, Maya Research develops voice-first AI interfaces for users who interact with technology through conversation. The company intends to use the capital to support the development of its voice-based AI systems.The firm has recorded 3 million app downloads across India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa. Its open-source voice model, Maya 1, has achieved over 440,000 downloads on Hugging Face.
