W Health Ventures marks first close of Fund II at Rs.550-Cr
Healthtech-focused VC firm W Health Ventures has marked the first close of its second fund at INR 550 Cr (USD 60.6 Mn). The firm launched the fund in July 2025 with a target corpus of INR 600 Cr. The fund aims to back eight to ten early-stage healthtech startups over the next four years, with an average cheque size of INR 30 Cr to INR 50 Cr each.W Health Ventures' Fund II operates as a "company creation fund," identifying key problem statements, designing solutions, and building companies to address these gaps. The fund focuses on exploring opportunities within the healthcare sector, including areas such as longevity and modern preventive health, geriatrics, and chronic pain management.Founded in 2019 by Sunil Wadhwani, W Health has previously backed 12 startups across India and the US, including Wysa, BeatO, Mylo, Reveal, and BabyMD.
