Warburg Pincus, True North sell 19.6% stake in Home First Finance for Rs.1,728-Cr

Mumbai-based, publicly listed affordable housing finance firm Home First Finance witnessed two of its PE investors - True North and Warburg Pincus - sell off a 19.6% stake via bulk deals on the stock exchanges, harvesting INR 1,728 crore.True North (which had promoted Home First Finance) sold shares via two of its units: Aether Mauritius Ltd and True North Fund V LLP. Post the latest sale, True North Fund V's shareholding dropped from 14.07% to 8.67%, while Aether Mauritius's stake fell from 9.31% to 5.71%.Orange Clove Investments BV, a unit of Warburg Pincus, sold shares in two separate transactions on the BSE, representing a 10.6% stake in Home First Finance. Following the sale, Warburg Pincus's stake decreased from 22.9% to 12.3%.(In November 2023, True North Fund V LLP, Aether Mauritius Ltd., and Orange Clove Investments had divested a combined 9.8% stake in Home First Finance for INR 753 crore.)
