Warburg Pincus exits IDFC First Bank; sells its 2.25% stake for Rs.1,195-Cr

Warburg Pincus, through its unit Cloverdell Investment Ltd, has sold its residual 2.25% stake (15.88 crore shares) in Mumbai-headquartered private sector lender IDFC First Bank for INR 1,195 crore in an open market transaction on the BSE. The shares were sold at an average price of INR 75.24 apiece.In September last year, Warburg Pincus had divested a 4.2 % stake in IDFC First Bank for INR 2,480 crore.
