Water-tech startup Althion raises Rs.3.6 Cr
Hyderabad-based water-tech company Althion has raised INR 3.6 crore in a pre-Series A funding round from IAN Group’s BioAngels network. The round also saw participation from angel investors Arun Seth, Om Manchanda, KNK Venkatraman, and Shubham Rastogi.Founded in 2017 by Surya Rao, Althion develops ultra-pure water systems that serve dialysis centres, biotechnology labs, premier hospitals and other healthcare, research, and semiconductor industries. The new funds will be used to support its pilot manufacturing and R&D efforts and to establish a larger facility to scale its operations.
