Water tech startup Greenvironment raises $1-M from Zerodha’s Rainmatter
Chennai-based cleantech startup Greenvironment Innovation has raised USD 1 million in funding from Rainmatter Capital.The new funds will be used to accelerate international expansion in the Middle East markets and to expand its automation capabilities, develop advanced AI models, image recognition tools, and digital twin technology.Founded in 2012 by Varun Sridharan, Sridharan Nair, Mohanraj Makkuni and Sam Thomas, Greenvironment is based out of the IIT-Madras Research Park. It develops smart IoT sensor systems for sewage treatment plants, water treatment plants, rainwater harvesting, and other effluent treatment units to provide insights, early warnings, and solutions for water and environmental problems.
