Bengaluru-based Otto Money has raised USD 1.3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Pravega Ventures, with participation from angel investors including Rishi Kohli (Jio BlackRock AMC), Amit Gupta (InMobi and Yulu), Amit Agarwal (NoBroker) and Mohit Aron (Nutanix and Cohesity), along with existing investors.Founded in 2024 by Apurv Gupta and Ankur Lahoti, Otto Money claims to use institution-grade investment models and artificial intelligence to deliver multi-asset guidance that explains trade-offs, highlights risks, and aligns decisions with long-term financial goals without promoting specific financial products. The company plans to use the funds over the next 12 to 18 months to enhance its artificial intelligence models, improve personalisation, and expand its goal-based advisory capabilities. The company also intends to invest in go-to-market efforts across Tier 1 cities, including partnerships and brand-building initiatives, while scaling its engineering, data science, and product teams.
