Wealthtech startup PrimeInvestor raises Rs.19.5 Cr from Rainmatter
Chennai-based wealthtech startup PrimeInvestor has raised INR 19.5 Cr (approximately USD 2.1 million) in a seed funding round from Zerodha’s investment arm, Rainmatter Capital.Founded in 2019 by Srikanth Meenakshi, Vidya Bala, and Bhavana Acharya, PrimeInvestor offers subscription-driven financial research and investment advisory services for retail investors in India. Its product portfolio includes mutual-fund-only portfolio management services (PMS) strategies, combined MF-and-equity strategies and pure equity mandates, all provided under a fixed-fee, zero-commission structure.The new capital will be used to scale its recently launched PMS and expand its product offerings. The firm also plans to make tools such as stock recommendations, mutual fund reviews, and portfolio review services free to all users.
