WEH Ventures announces first close of Rs.250-Cr Fund III

Mumbai-based early-stage investment firm WEH Ventures has announced the first close of Fund III, which has a target corpus of INR 250-Cr. Participants in the first close included family offices, including Eraya, Twin & Bull Investments, and Heritage Investments, as well as Play Capital. Additional backers include founders from Oziva and GS Labs, along with senior executives from Thermax, Haleon, Lenovo, PNB MetLife, Arlo, and Intuitive Surgical.Founded in 2017, WEH Ventures previously supported companies such as Smallcase, Jar, Pratilipi, Animall, MasterChow, AppsforBharat, Unbox Robotics, and Mitigata.The firm intends to use the capital from Fund III to invest in 20 to 25 early-stage startups across sectors including advanced manufacturing, agriculture, energy transition, artificial intelligence, healthcare, consumer, and fintech.
