WestBridge Capital invests addnl $12-M in Star Health

WestBridge Capital has increased its stake in Chennai-based Star Health and Allied Insurance , investing USD 12 million in the first half of the financial year. WestBridge initially backed Star Health over a decade ago and partially divested during its IPO in 2021 before gradually rebuilding its position.This investment occurred while the private equity firm is also in the process of launching a new general insurance venture named Kiwi, in collaboration with former Tata AIG CEO Neelesh Garg.
