Women's health player Avni Wellness raises Rs.4-Cr led by Proteus Partners
Mumbai-based Avni Wellness has raised INR 4 crore in a seed funding round led by Proteus Partners, with participation from Puru Gupta, Sreejith Moolayil, A. Velumani, and Somya Nigam.Founded in 2021 by Sujata Pawar and Apurv Agarwal, the company claims to provide toxin-free solutions for women’s health across various life stages, including adolescence, reproductive years and menopause. Its product portfolio includes a patented antimicrobial reusable sanitary pad, a liposomal iron supplement and products for PCOS management, urinary tract health and hormonal nutrition.The company intends to use the new funds to strengthen its digital commerce capabilities, expand its cycle nutrition product range, grow its women-led micro-entrepreneur network, and increase its presence across online marketplaces.
