Workers networking platform Apna.co raises $70-M from Insight Partners, Tiger Global, others
Bengaluru-based platform for hiring blue-collar workers Apna.co has raised USD 70 million in a funding round led by Insight Partners and Tiger Global. Existing investors Sequoia Capital India, Lightspeed Ventures, Greenoaks Capital and Rocketship VC also participated in the fundraise. The two-year old startup has been valued post-money at USD 570 million, up five times from its previous round three months ago, when it raised USD 12 million. Apna.co has more than 10 million candidates and over 100,000 employers. It's available in 14 cities and plans to expand to four new centres per month to cater to a spike in demand from small businesses in non-metros. The firm is looking to explore the US and Southeast Asia markets next year.
