Y Combinator sells shares worth Rs.1,434.5 Cr in investment platform Groww
Silicon Valley based investor Y Combinator has sold shares worth INR 1,434.5 crore in Bengaluru-based financial services firm Groww . The transaction involved the sale of 7.73 crore shares at INR 185.50 per share. The divestment represents a return of approximately 54x on the accelerator's weighted average cost of acquisition of INR 3.45 per share.Post-sale Y Combinator continues to maintain a significant ownership stake in the firm, holding 46.4 crore shares valued at approximately INR 8,990 crore.
Y Combinator first invested in Groww in Sep 2019. It subsequently sold shares in Nov 2025 and May 2026.For FY26, Groww had reported about INR 3,059 Cr in Operating Income and about INR 1,630 Cr in PAT.
