Yash Raj Films invests in mobile-first entertainment co. Rusk Media
Film production company Yash Raj Films (YRF) has invested in New Delhi-based, digital-first entertainment company Rusk Media . This is the studio's first strategic bet in the vertical entertainment market as it expands into mobile-first storytelling.Founded in 2019 by Mayank Yadav, Shantanu Singh and Karanvir Sofat, Rusk Media is a full-stack mobile-first digital entertainment company with a content studio delivering premium serialised social & OTT video IPs across fiction & non-fiction targeting young adults.Under the partnership, YRF will oversee the creative direction of original animation and vertical micro-drama IP, while Rusk Media will produce and distribute the content through its proprietary Alright! TV platform and global digital channels.
Between Nov 2019 and Jun 2026, Rusk Media had attracted about $45-M from Audacity Ventures, Info Edge, IvyCap Ventures, KTB Ventures, LC Nueva, Mistry Ventures, Munjal Family Office, Nazara, Sprout Venture Partners, and others.For FY25, Rusk Media had reported about Rs.81-Cr in Operating Income and about Rs.26-Cr in Net Loss.
