Yashaa Global Capital to raise $50-M sports VC fund
Abu Dhabi-based Yashaa Global Capital , a USD 75 million venture capital fund focused on sports, media, gaming, and e-sports, has secured approval from Abu Dhabi Global Market’s (ADGM) Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA) to launch operations. With a USD 50 million target corpus and a USD 25 million greenshoe option, Yashaa Global Capital is targeting investments across sports tech, fitness and wellness, esports and gaming, mediatech, and professional leagues and teams.The fund is backed by Indian cricketers Shikhar Dhawan, Ravi Shastri, and South African cricketer AB de Villiers. The fund’s management team also includes co-founders and former entrepreneurs and investors Moh ammed Sirajuddin, Arif Padaria, and Victor Tay.
